The CNA at St. Bernards Medical Group assists residents who are functionally, physically, and/or socially impaired with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. They promote socialization activities and teach self-help skills to residents.

The position emphasizes maintaining residents' self-respect, dignity, and physical safety, with focus on safety-sensitive responsibilities and adherence to policy standards.

Formación

• High school education or equivalent; licensed via a credible CNA training program.
• Certified nurse’s aide is desired.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pull up to 150 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 150 pounds regularly; safety sensitive position.

Responsabilidades

• Promote and implement activities for socialization, teach self-help skills, and maintain residents' dignity and safety.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pull up to 150 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 150 pounds regularly. Frequently walks, uses hands to finger equipment and controls. Movements required are bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, climbing, kneeling, pushing/pulling, and reaching above shoulder level. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Manual dexterity and mobility should be proficient.

JOB SUMMARY

• The CNA assists residents who are functionally, physically, and or socially impaired and need assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and grooming. Responsible for promoting and implementing a variety of activities that includes internal and external opportunities for socialization. Assists and teaches residents skills in self-help. Helps to maintain the self-respect, personal dignity and physical safety of each resident.
