Job summary

UF Health Shands Homecare is seeking a CNA/Unit Secretary to support the Cardiac Pulmonary Rehab team. You will assist with patient interaction, coordinate care, and provide essential administrative and communication support to keep a busy clinical unit running smoothly.

Under supervision, you will use hospital information systems to connect nursing, medical, and ancillary staff, ensuring accurate workflow and timely patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with preferred post-high school training.
• Ability to read, write and understand English clearly.
• CNAs with strong communication and organizational skills are welcome.

Responsibilities

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director, Manager and Charge Nurse, the CNA/Unit Secretary, Techretary supports the coordination of patient care through strong secretarial and organizational skills. This position utilizes hospital information systems to help coordinate communication and workflow between nursing, medical and ancillary staff.

• Shift: Days
• Schedule: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Monday-Friday
• Status: PRN
• Role Focus: Patient support, unit coordination, communication and administrative support

Qualifications
