Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant with EKG experience to support patient admissions and daily rounds. You will prepare rooms, orient new patients, and assist with transfers and vital signs under supervision. The role requires strong communication, patient safety focus, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA experience or be a CNA-certified caregiver.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification required.
• Strong communication with patients and families; ability to document accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare rooms for new admissions and set up care items and vital sign equipment.
• Welcome patients and orient them to their rooms.
• Assist with transfers and mobility under supervision.
• Ensure patient safety and proper lifting/transportation techniques.
• Document intake, output, vital signs, and weights in the EMR per policy.
• Collect and label specimens at bedside and send to the lab for analysis.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the care team promptly.
• Act as liaison between patients, families, staff, and medical personnel.
• Maintain current patient records and unit census; respond to call lights.
• Support daily living activities as ordered by the physician.
• Maintain a clean, safe patient environment and assist with care routines.
