Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a CNA/Unit Clerk for the Main Operating Room. The role supports clinical staff with clerical and patient care duties in a fast-paced environment across multiple specialties.

You will work closely with the Charge RN, surgeons, and clinical staff to keep daily operations running smoothly and maintain EMR documentation. Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday, 0630-1700; benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
• Requires basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy; advanced classes preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY & HIGHLIGHTS:

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a CNA/Unit Clerk for our Main Operating Room.

Our Main Operating Room serves patients with a wide variety of care needs, from scheduled elective cases to emergent traumas. With 17 operating rooms, we provide care across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, general, plastics, dental, neurology, urology, gynecology, and robotics.

This role serves as a key support resource for the Operating Room. The CNA/Unit Clerk works closely with the Charge RN, surgeons, providers, and clinical staff to help keep daily operations running smoothly. This is a fast-paced position that combines administrative, communication, and patient care support responsibilities.

Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday from 0630-1700.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Unit Clerk will support clinical staff by performing clerical, receptionist, patient care, and patient service coordination duties.
• You will need to communicate effectively with team members regarding patient information, messages, and medical documentation.
• Maintain Electronic Medical Records and facilitate smooth operation of the unit.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Six months Certified Nursing Assistant experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Previous hospital or medical office experience preferred.
• Requires basic Medical Terminology and Anatomy. Advanced classes in Medical Terminology and Anatomy preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
