Job summary

CienaHealthcare is actively recruiting individuals to train as Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in Michigan. Trainees will learn on-site with all class expenses paid upfront by the facility, and will be paid a wage during class.

After training, CNAs are eligible for full-time positions with full benefits. We seek prompt, dedicated people who enjoy caring for others and want to make a lasting impact on our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-direct resident care and ancillary services under the direction of a licensed nurse supervisor
• Report accidents and incidents immediately to the Charge Nurse
• Keep resident rooms ready and maintained in a safe, clean condition
• Assist residents with packing and transfers between rooms or discharge processes
• Assist with meals, dining room cleanliness, and hydration for residents
• Transport residents to appointments and activities as needed
• Disinfect care equipment and perform routine housekeeping duties

Responsibilities:

• Report all accidents and incidents observed immediately to the Charge Nurse.
• Ensure that the resident's room is ready to receive the resident (i.e., bed made, etc.)
• Inventory and mark the resident's personal possessions as instructed.
• Assist residents with packing their personal possessions when they are being transferred to a new room or when being discharged.
• Answers call lights and notify nurse or CNA of care needs.
• Assist in transporting residents to/from appointments, activity and social programs as assigned.
• Assist with cleaning dining room following meals (wipe tables, sweep floors, etc.) Assist in cleaning break room, shower room, nourishment room, etc.
• Maintains a clean, safe and comfortable environment
• Transport assigned residents to and from meals
• Assists with meal distribution for residents who can feed themselves
• Distributes ice and water
• Delivers snacks to those residents who do not require assistance in feeding
• Cleans and disinfects resident care equipment
• Performs routine housekeeping duties
