Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Syracuse, NY, is hosting a CNA Training Class starting mid-November 2026. The program runs 4–5 weeks, Mon.–Fri, 8am–4pm, with $16 per hour during the class. After certification, compensation will adjust.

You will gain hands-on experience in a long-term care setting while pursuing CNA certification. The role offers meaningful resident support, opportunities to collaborate with CNAs, and a pathway to full-time employment in a caring, team-oriented

Job Summary:

We are seeking qualified Resident Assistants (RAs) to join our team at Van Duyn Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. As a CNA Training Class, you will have the opportunity to gain experience and skills in a long-term care setting while working towards becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

• Patient/Resident Advocate
• Assisting Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) with ancillary care of the residents
• Providing comfort to residents/patients
• Infection prevention
• Interacting and engaging with residents/patients and their families

• Ability to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Passing score on a Reading comprehension test
