Job summary

The Missouri Veterans Commission is offering a CNA trainee program where you start earning an hourly wage of $16.83 while you learn the essential skills to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Upon successful completion, you will be promoted to a full-time CNA with benefits.

You must stay employed for at least 12 months after course completion and may be required to repay training costs if you leave early.

Qualifications

• No experience required; training provided.
• Interest in nursing and helping others.

Responsibilities

• Attend classroom and floor assignments with regular, reliable presence.
• Provide direct care to Veterans: vitals, weight/height, personal hygiene, elimination, transfers.
• Communicate with Veterans in a supportive, therapeutic manner.
• Document in the EMR.
• Assist with meals: trays, delivery, feeding.
• Assist with dressing and grooming as needed.
• Lift, clean, and move equipment; stand and walk for extended periods.
