Job summary

Saint Bernards Medical Center seeks a CNA to support participants in home care and at the center. Under the Home Care Coordinator, you will assist with mobility, transfers, and activities to maintain independence and current functioning.

You will provide compassionate care aimed at participant satisfaction and retention, and may work at the center or in participants' homes. Requirements include Arkansas CNA certification or completion of approved Vo-Tech program, and ability to lift up to 50-150

Qualifications

• CNA certification in Arkansas is required.

Responsibilities

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education Required

Skills and proficiency in oral and written grammar, communication, and basic mathematics. Ability to perform support activities in patient care as required through completion of an approved Vo-Tech program or certified as a Nurse Aide through the Office of Long Term Care.

Experience

CNA certification in Arkansas.

The applicant must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, pull up to 150 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds and push up to 150 pounds regularly. Must be able to stand, walk or sit for significant periods of time. Must be prepared to climb, stoop, kneel or bend frequently. Hearing must be within normal range. Manual dexterity and mobility should be proficient.

JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Home Care Coordinator, performs basic duties to assist participants in maintaining as environment consistent with their needs. Assist participants in their mobility exercises to help them be more independent for their activities and maintain their current level of functioning. Provides care in a manner which ensures participant satisfaction and retention. Assist participant in such activities as walking, transfers, use of mobility devices, getting in and out of transportation vehicles, and socialization at the center. CNA’s may be required to work and the Center and/or in the participants’ home.
