San Luis Valley Health in Alamosa, CO is seeking a CNA / Telemetry Technician to join our Med/Surg team. The role crosses trains to support Telemetry Tech and Ward Clerk duties, performing routine patient care under supervision.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED and current Basic Life Support certification, with strong communication and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced hospital setting. We offer comprehensive benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Able to communicate effectively with patients, staff and managers.
• Able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Able to follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Strong problem solving and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Answer call lights.
• Direct patient care including bathing and oral hygiene.
• Serve and collect food trays; assist feeding.
• Assist in ambulation and repositioning of patients.
• Record vital signs: pulse, temperature, respiration, BP.
• Record fluid intake and output as directed.
• Record temperature, BP, pulse and respiration.
• Clean equipment and restock supplies.
• Provide age-appropriate care through proper training.
