Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will follow established policies to maximize patient care and contribute to a patient-centered mission.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, safety, and nursing support.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs under RN supervision.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, and patient data accurately and maintains confidentiality.
• Assists with delegated patient care tasks supervised by the nurse.
• Maintains patient-centered care with compassion and teamwork.
• Communicates hazards or errors related to patient safety to the health care team.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential direct and indirect nursing care under the proficient direction of a Registered Nurse, aligning with established policies and procedures to optimize your skills and contribute to our patient-centered mission.

• Provides quality patient care, including comfort and hygiene measures, preventative skin care, safety measures, transport, and nutritional and elimination needs.
• Promptly answers call lights and responds to patient needs. Reports patient status changes and needs to Registered Nurse accurately and in a timely manner.
• Accurately documents vital signs, input/output, nutritional intake, personal hygiene, weights, and other patient care performed and reports findings promptly to Registered Nurse; maintains thorough and confidential maintenance of patient charts and records.
• Assists with safe and appropriate delegated patient care tasks which are directly supervised by the nurse.
• Provides person-centeredcare with sensitivity and respect for the human experience in a collaborative fashion with other team members.
• Communicates concerns regarding hazards or errors related to patients to the health care team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• Graduate of a Nursing Assistant Program
• State registered CNA license

Preferred

• Six (6) months previous CNA or healthcare experience.
