Job summary

Logan Health Medical Center in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Surgical Unit on a PRN, 12-hour shift. You will support patients with daily living activities, promote comfort and safety, and assist the care team in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

This role provides hands-on experience in a fast-paced hospital setting, with a flexible PRN schedule and opportunities to work closely with nurses, providers, and an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana CNA certificate.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • HIPAA guidelines understanding.
  • Preferred: previous healthcare/hospital experience.
  • Verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities include supporting patients with activities of daily living, obtaining and reporting vital signs, documenting care accurately, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.You will communicate with nursing leadership and appropriate team members to help coordinate patient care priorities, report changes in condition, and support daily department operations. This role also assists with restocking supplies, maintaining equipment cleanliness and safety, and supporting a positive patient care experience.**Qualifications****Required:**Current Montana Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certificate.Current CPR certification as applicable to assigned area.Must possess an understanding of confidentiality laws that govern the provider-patient relationship, including but not limited to HIPAA guidelines.Preferred:Previous work experience in a healthcare or hospital setting.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to set priorities.Ability to function both independently and as part of a team.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and supporting a team-focused environment.Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and learn other software systems as needed.**Shift:**Variable - 12 Hours (United States of America)**Schedule:**Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program.
