Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Minot, ND seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support patient care in perioperative settings. Under the Nurse Manager and RN/LPN supervision, you assist with daily living activities, positioning, mobility, and safety, while promoting dignity and clear communication with the surgical team.

You will help keep operating rooms clean, stocked, and ready, handle basic clerical coordination, and follow infection-prevention protocols.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Position Summary:The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays an essential role in supporting high-quality patient care. Working under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the direct supervision of an RN or LPN, the CNA assists patients with daily living activities, comfort measures, and mobility needs while consistently promoting dignity, independence, and safety. This role is an important part of a collaborative, supportive care team, contributing to a compassionate care environment through careful observation, timely reporting of patient changes, and clear communication with nursing staff. The role involves lifting, transporting patients, and moving supplies and surgical equipment, requiring moderate physical exertion and proper body mechanics. Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and communication abilities are necessary to safely follow procedures, operate equipment, and respond to verbal directions in a fast-paced environment.Environmental Requirements:Work is performed in operating rooms, surgical suites, central core areas, and related perioperative support spaces. The role involves routine exposure to medical equipment, alarms, cleaning agents, temperature variations, and potential contact with blood and body fluids. Strict adherence to PPE requirements, infection-prevention practices, sterile technique, and all surgical safety protocols is required to protect patients, staff, and the surgical environment.
