Job summary

Markesan Resident Home, Inc in Markesan, Wisconsin seeks an entry-level caregiver aide to assist with routine meal setup, resident transport, and non-direct care tasks under supervision. You will support Annas House operations during meals and help with tray passing, nourishments, bed making, and record-keeping in Caretracker.

Position involves assisting CNA/Nurse, stocking supplies, meal service, linen handling, greeting visitors, answering phones, and keeping resident areas neat and safe.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform routine caregiving tasks under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up Annas House for meals (placements, napkins, etc).
• Transport residents to the main and Annas dining rooms and set up for meals.
• Pass trays, help guide and cue at breakfast in Annas house.
• Clear dishes and wipe tables.
• Put appetites in Caretracker (CNA must record).
• Assist in bed making; CNA direct in Annas and on B/C Wings.
• Assist CNA to pass AM nourishments in Annas and all HS nourishments.
• Check out with CNA/Nurse.
• Make unoccupied beds.
• Perform non-direct care tasks-no physical contact with the residents is allowed.
• Pass clean linens.
• Stock supplies to resident rooms or nurse servers and cupboards.
• Put away resident laundry.
• Assist in straightening room, bedside stand, closet, and/or drawers.
• Assist caregivers in obtaining necessary supplies.
• Pass water to residents capable of having water at bedside.
• Distribute linens and set tables prior to meals.
• Set up trays for independent residents: open milk, tableware, place clothing protectors, napkins.
• Pass warm washcloths to residents for freshening of hands and face before and after meals-no assistance with washing the residents face and hands are allowed.
• Serve food items to tables or feeding personnel.
• Pick up trays from the dining room areas and return to carts-may not calculate or document percentage of intake.
• Provide general clean-up of spills during mealtime.
• Fill water pitchers.
• Assist individual residents in accomplishing an activity.
• Answer phones.
• Greet and direct visitors.
• Maintain nursing unit and resident areas in neat manner.
• Visit with residents.
• Nail care for non-diabetic residents.
• Answer call lights.
• 2nd person for spotting during lifts.
• Will not be present or perform personal cares.
• Will not feed residents.
