Job Summary

The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides care to residents in long-term care, supporting daily living activities and basic health needs under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, vital signs, psychosocial support, transfers, repositioning, walking, range of motion exercises, and assisting with meals. The NA also documents interactions, communicates changes, and supports recreational activities.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Minimum age of 16
  • Prior clinical or CNA experience preferred
  • Required CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or in process of obtaining it within four months
  • Completion of yearly competency testing and continuing education (minimum 12 hours annually)
  • State-specific certifications and registrations as applicable
  • Must be medically qualified to perform driving duties if applicable
