Job summary

Responsibilities
  • Observe and report changes in patient’s condition to the supervising nurse.
  • Assist with geriatric care needs.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living according to individual care plans.
  • Observes residents and reports to nursing any changes in physical, mental, and emotional condition.
  • Communicates and interacts in a professional, respectful, and hospitable manner.
Qualifications
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) certification required.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to read, write, speak & understand the English language.
  • Must have no finding in the registry concerning abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resident property.
  • Can foster good resident and family relationships.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
  • A passion for working with elderly residents.
  • Experience in a long-term or assisted living facility a plus, but not required.
