Job summary

The Preserve Rehabilitation and Living Center, part of Volunteers of America, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in Fort Myers. Join a team providing routine nursing care under supervision, with opportunities for growth and compassionate resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State approved nursing assistant course completion/certification, or enrollment.
• Ability to safely perform essential functions.
• Ability to prioritize duties.
• Ability to understand and follow work assignments.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive assessments of client status under supervision.
• Develops and follows an individualized Plan of Care.
• Provides skilled interventions to achieve outcomes.
• Reports changes to modify the care plan as progress is made.
• Demonstrates competency with nursing skills.
• Assesses client, family, and environment.
• Teaches clients according to needs and environment.
• Administers medications as directed.
