Job summary

Aegis Therapies in Kirkwood, MO is seeking a Restorative CNA – Wellness Instructor to join our Rehab Therapy Team. You will deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs alongside licensed therapists and participate in restorative care activities.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, and a focus on ambulation, transfers, ROM, and daily living tasks. A CNA certification and senior-focused exercise background are preferred, with opportunities for

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Current CNA certification in state of practice.
  • Specialty certification in fitness/training preferred.
  • Experience with seniors and exercise programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver wellness, fitness, and exercise programs with therapy team.
  • Receive restorative training on site.
  • Assist in restorative care: ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing.
  • Work exclusively with therapy team under Rehabilitation Director.

Job Type: Full Time ***Retention Bonus available***Schedule: Up to 40 hours - weekend rotationSetting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior CareWellness Location: Kirkwood, MO

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

  • Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
  • Receive full restorative training provided onsite.
  • Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
  • Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.
