Job summary

Aegis Therapies in La Porte, IN is seeking a CNA Wellness Instructor to join the Rehab Therapy Team. This full-time role focuses on restorative care, delivering wellness, fitness and exercise programs in a skilled nursing setting.

You will work with therapists, receive onsite restorative training, and help with ambulation, transfers, ROM and routine activities. CNA certification is required and prior senior-population experience is valued.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required in state of practice.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Specialty certification in fitness or personal training is preferred.
• Experience with exercise and activity training for seniors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wellness, fitness and exercise programs with therapy team guidance.
• Provide restorative care and assist with ambulation, transfers, ROM, dressing/grooming.
• Participate in exclusive restorative tasks with limited CNA duties.
• Collaborate with the Rehabilitation Therapy Team to optimize patient wellness.

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Up to 40 hours per week/rotating weekends

Setting: Rehabilitation Center, Skilled Nursing Facility, Senior Care Wellness

Location: La Porte, IN

As a CNA/Wellness Instructor for Restorative Care, you will:

• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation / Therapy and work exclusively with the therapy team to provide knowledge and expertise in delivering appropriate wellness, fitness, and exercise programs.
• Receive full restorative training provided onsite. No restorative experience necessary, (CNA Certification Required)
• Assist in the restorative care of patients as directed.
• Exclusive restorative responsibilities (Ambulation, transfer training, bed mobility, active/passive range of motion, dressing/grooming, splint/prosthesis care) with limited or none of the “less desirable” tasks that often accompany a CNA position.

Qualifications:
