Job summary

The Retreat at Lady's Island in South Carolina is hiring a Resident Care Associate (CNA) to provide high quality care for a consistent group of residents across assisted living and memory care neighborhoods.

The role involves hands-on care, following Personalized Service Plans, maintaining safety, executing activities, and promptly responding to call bells while supporting residents and families in a warm home-like environment.

Qualifications

• High School education preferred or required by state.
• Experience with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects of RCA.
• Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours to meet peak service delivery times.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update the Personalized Service Plans and attend plan review meetings.
• Monitor hydration schedules and ensure adherence during the shift.
• Complete resident meal attendance and coordinate room service if not dining in dining room.
• Respect resident rights and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
• Initiate and assist with resident activities as appropriate.
• Check residents daily for cleanliness, clothing, continence, and changes in condition.
• Apply proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
• Inspect assigned resident rooms for cleanliness and safety, with emphasis on high risk rooms.
• Assist with laundry rooms and common areas, ensuring cleanliness and chemical safety.
• Complete all ADLs for residents per their PSP.
• Respond promptly to security systems and resident call bells; take appropriate action.

Education

High School education

Experience with elders or disabled individuals
