Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach CNA preparation courses, delivering didactic and lab components in accordance with established syllabi. Faculty must hold a nursing license in Indiana and demonstrate at least one year of nursing experience, with appropriate trainer credentials as required.

Responsibilities include developing course materials, maintaining records, and engaging students using effective instructional methods within the college’s policies and FERPA

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed and in good standing in Indiana and have at least one year of licensed nursing experience.
• Must have completed Indiana Department of Health Train-the-Trainer or hold a Workplace Specialist License from Indiana Department of Education in Health Science.

Responsibilities

• Deliver assigned CNA/HLS courses in accordance with college policies and course objectives.
• Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials.
• Maintain accurate student records and grades.
• Engage with students and apply active classroom teaching strategies to enhance learning.
• Comply with FERPA and college policies; ensure safety in classrooms and labs.
