Job summary

A&C Private Home Care is seeking compassionate Personal Care Aides to enrich the lives of clients across Georgia. You will provide one-on-one care, assist with daily activities, and help clients maintain independence in their homes.

High school diploma or equivalent is required. CPR certification and a TB test are preferred or will be supported. Prior home care experience is helpful, but training is provided to ensure high-quality care for our clients.

Qualifications

• CPR certification required or willing to obtain it before starting
• TB test current or willingness to obtain one
• Experience in home care preferred but training is provided

Responsibilities

• Provide immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, companionship and comfort.
• Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, bathroom visits, and brushing teeth.
• Perform basic housekeeping, meal preparation and laundry; run errands as needed.
• Support clients with mobility, transfers, and use of walking aids or wheelchairs.
• Arrange transportation to medical appointments and accompany clients on outings.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, safe environment and monitor changes in client conditions.

What we're Looking For

• CPR Certification & TB Test: You must be CPR certified or willing to obtain certification prior to starting. An up-to-date TB test is also required, or you must be willing to acquire one before beginning work.
• Experience is a Plus: While prior experience in home care is a bonus, it's not required. We provide the training and support you need to excel in this rewarding field.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience(Preferred)
• Flexible schedule availability
• Ability to manage and organize clients' routines effectively
• Ability to assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation and running errands

Job Details:

• Providing immobile, recovering, or frail clients with support, company, and comfort.
• Reporting changes in the physical, mental, and emotional conditions of clients to relevant parties.
• Providing support with personal hygiene, including bathroom visits, bathing, dressing, and brushing teeth.
• Engaging clients in suitable activities, such as playing games, taking walks, or having conversations.
• Performing basic housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and preparing meals.
• Assisting clients with household finances, bills, and payments, as well as running errands.
• Accompanying clients on outings and arranging transportation to medical appointments.
• Providing mobility support, including assistance with walking aids and wheelchairs.
• Maintaining a hygienic, tidy, and safe environment.

Pay Rate: $15 - $16 Hourly

Key Considerations:

• Safety: Always ensure that transfers are done safely, with proper technique, to avoid injury to both the client and the caregiver.
• Dignity: Respect the client's dignity during personal care activities, including bathing and brief changes.
• Communication: Keep an open line of communication with the client to understand their comfort level and any changes in their needs.
