Job summary

ComForCare Home Care Virginia Beach is seeking compassionate, dependable CNAs and PCAs to join our team. Our caregivers help seniors and individuals remain safe and independent in their homes, treating clients with dignity and care like family.

We pride ourselves on supporting caregivers with accessible leadership, ongoing training, and flexible schedules. You'll work in clients' homes with respect and a focus on quality of life, guided by individualized care plans and open communication.

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification or PCA training/experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to meet scheduling needs.
• Ability to pass required background checks and screenings.
• Dementia experience is a plus; training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, meals, light housekeeping, and daily activities.
• Provide companionship and meaningful engagement.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate changes or concerns.
• Support clients and families with patience, professionalism, and respect.
• Provide compassionate care for clients living with dementia when applicable.

What You'll Do

What to Expect

Caregiving is both challenging and rewarding. You may work independently in a client's home and care for someone experiencing dementia, illness, physical limitations, or declining independence. Some days are predictable, while others require critical thinking, patience, flexibility, and the ability to respond professionally to difficult situations. We're looking for caregivers who are reliable, compassionate, comfortable working independently, willing to ask for help, and are committed to treating every client with dignity.
