Visiting Angels CPD, LLC in Georgia is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our home health team. You will assist clients with daily living activities, monitor health, document care, and provide memory care for dementia patients.

We value independence, empathy, and strong communication as you support clients in familiar home environments and coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or PCA license required; nursing home/assisted living experience preferred.
• Experience with developmental disabilities or dementia care is a plus.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medication administration, and hospice/palliative practices.
• Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems for patient records.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ADLs: bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility.

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, with experience in assisted living, long-term care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients by providing exceptional support with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional comfort.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.

• Monitor and observe patients’ health status, accurately recording vital signs and changes in condition.

• Support medication administration and ensure proper documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.

• Provide specialized care for clients with Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or memory impairments through tailored memory care techniques.

• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheters, and other assistive devices safely and effectively.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks, laundry, and meal preparation.

• Document patient care activities thoroughly while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality.

• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans are followed accurately.

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification or PCA license required; prior experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities preferred.

• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care needs.

• Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and hospice or palliative care practices.

• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes.

• CPR certification is required; additional training in catheter care or hospice care is a plus.

• Strong patient observation skills combined with compassionate caregiving abilities.

• Experience working within home health or community-based settings is highly desirable.
