Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX seeks a compassionate CNA/PCT for day shifts within Women’s Health. You will support the clinical team, perform patient care duties under RN supervision, and help ensure patient safety and comfort throughout each encounter.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited CNA/PCT program, current CNA/PCT and BLS/CPR certifications, and strong English communication with bilingual sensitivity. Previous hospital exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited CNA or PCT program.
• Current CNA or Patient Care Tech certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Willingness to be cross trained to other areas.
• Must be able to be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with nursing, administration, and physicians.
• Prefer hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that care is delivered to each patient in accordance with their scope of practice.
• Takes vital signs and reports abnormal values to licensed staff.
• Assists all patients, family members/significant others, physicians, visitors and employees in a friendly manner.
• Introduces self and uses caring, thoughtful words in person or on the telephone.
• Demonstrates proper telephone etiquette and professional communication.
• Works together in the spirit of teamwork and shares information as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
