Job summary

CentraCare Health in Monticello Hospital is seeking a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support Med/Surg, Geriatric Behavioral Health, and Emergency Department. The role includes patient monitoring, transport, and daily living activities.

Shifts include 7pm-7:30am and 7am-7:30pm with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays. Starting pay is $19.40/hour with increases based on experience; pay range $19.40–$28.79/hour.

Qualifications

• Certified as a Nursing Assistant on the Minnesota Registry.
• Some healthcare experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) must be current through the American Heart Association.
• Strong interpersonal human relations skills.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Critical monitoring, like obtaining blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiratory rate, and oxygen levels to assess patient health.
• Transport patients to appointments and procedures to get the right care at the right time.
• Interact with patients to promote comfort, and express compassion and empathy as they heal.
• Assist with walking and help patients do it safely.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, brushing teeth, toileting and more.
