Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and a passion for caring for residents and patients.
• Prior experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is a plus.
• Able to communicate positively with residents and team members.
• Special interest in working with elderly residents/patients.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Assist Certified Nursing Assistants in providing direct care to residents.
• Help with personal care needs including bathing and oral hygiene.
• Complete all assignments directed by the instructor.
• Attend classroom activities and training.
• Provide safe bedside care with compassion.
• Communicate effectively with patients and nursing team.
• Accompany residents to activities.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Build relationships with patients/residents and families.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
