Covenant Living of Colorado invites you to join our team as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Evanston, IL. We value teamwork, respect, and service as we care for residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care.

As a CNA, you will provide direct daily care, assist with activities, dining services, and maintain clean rooms. Requirements include HS diploma, completion of an approved CNA program, and state registry.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Reports directly to the nurse manager and may take direction from licensed nurses.
• Provides direct care to residents daily.
• Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists with personal care according to procedures and daily assignments.
• Cares for bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming, feeding, and transfers.
• Keeps resident rooms clean and orderly; changes linen and tidies belongings.
• Assists with resident laundry, ensuring clothes are marked and cared for.
• Prepares residents for meals and helps with serving and feeding.

In This Role The Certified Nursing Assistant Will

• Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Position also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Position is service in nature, in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.
• This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner by providing light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside table, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Assist with resident laundry assuring clothes are marked, clean and mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• May be cross trained in Assisted Living.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Compensation Pay Range

$19.13 - $25.43 per hour

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $19.13 - $25.43 per hour. There are numerous factors taken in consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
