Sanford Health in Marshfield, WI, Marsh Med Ctr is seeking a compassionate Nursing Assistant for inpatient care. You will provide patient-centered nursing support under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with daily living activities and essential care to help the unit run smoothly.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred but not required.
• CNA is preferred. Maintains required department competencies and certifications.
• If working in ND, must be on the ND Nurse Aide Registry within four months or after training.
• If working in WI, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or limited student nurse experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including bathing, grooming, toileting, and eating, while supporting emotional and spiritual needs
• Record vital statistics, blood glucose levels, and other basic health information
• Assist with patient transfers and ambulation
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare
• Prepare and clean patient treatment areas, living areas, and medical equipment
• Dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy

Job Summary

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific

competencies and certifications.

If working in North Dakota (ND) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry upon completion of training/competency validation or a maximum of four months from the date of initial employment.

If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.
