Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse Apprentice to join a fast-paced ICU team. This part-time role involves night shifts (7pm–7:30am) in a Level II trauma center with care for diverse, high-acuity patients and a mix of neuro, medical, surgical, and trauma cases.

You will work under the supervision of RNs to provide direct patient care in a 21-bed ICU, with schedule flexibility across weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho, OR Nurse Apprentice application on file with Idaho State Board of Nursing, OR Trinity Nursing Assistant Program completed.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required at hire in all units (AHA/ARC/Military Training Network).
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations.

Description

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team. This position is for our ICU located at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise! Our Regional Medical Center is located off I-184 and Curtis Rd. You will work in the ICU provide care in a 21 bed unit to a mixed patient population needing critical care. This is a fast paced, high-pressure environment that will care for some of the area’s highest acuity patients needing neuro, medical, surgical and trauma care.

Schedule

2 shifts per week from 7pm-7:30am. Must be flexible to work a varied schedule that consists of weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What You Will Do

• You will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction and supervision of the RN.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
