Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join our ICU nursing team. This part-time, 12-hour day shift role works in a 21-bed unit serving a mixed population with neuro, medical, surgical, and trauma needs under RN supervision.

The position requires flexibility to cover weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed, and offers opportunities for professional growth within our faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Holds a Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintains a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR completed Trinity Nursing Assistant Program.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required at hire in most units unless ACLS/PALS are current as defined in SAHS Crosswalk.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for Neonate, Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric patients as applicable.

Description

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Certified Nursing Assistant, Nursing Assistant, or Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team.

This position is for our ICU located at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise! Our Regional Medical Center is located off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

You will work in the ICU provide care in a 21 bed unit to a mixed patient population needing critical care. This is a fast paced, high-pressur environment that will care for some of the area’s highest acuity patients needing neuro, medical, surgical and trauma care.

Schedule

Three 12hr shifts within a 2 week period. Hours are from 7am-7:30pm. Must be flexible to work a varied schedule that consists of weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

What You Will Do

• You will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction and supervision of the RN.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant Certification issued by the State of Idaho OR maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
