Visiting Angels of Topeka is seeking CNAs to join our team serving clients in Topeka, Lawrence, and nearby areas. We offer a flexible schedule, competitive wages, and opportunities for advanced training in dementia and Alzheimer’s care.

As a CNA Nurse Aide, you will support wellness and daily living activities per individualized care plans. You’ll perform personal care tasks, mobility assistance, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship while maintaining high safety and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle to transport clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time-management and ability to juggle multiple duties.
• Reliable transportation to client homes at scheduled times.
• Comfort with housekeeping and cooking tasks while following dietary constraints.
• Willing to comply with health and safety standards (e.g., background check).
• Compassion and desire to brighten each client’s day.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist with light exercise or walks with clients.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide companionship and support.
• Respond quickly in emergencies and ensure client safety.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take medications as prescribed.
• Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments.

CNA Nurse Aide Job Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients

• Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care
• Feel confident in your physical endurance when it comes to things like carrying groceries and physically supporting a client

• Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
