Visiting Angels of Birmingham is hiring CNAs to support local clients throughout the Northern Birmingham area with flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities. As a CNA Nurse Aide, you will assist with daily living activities, plan meals, provide companionship, and report health changes while following care plans.

Full-time, part-time shifts available across 8-12 hour blocks. Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, PTO, weekly pay, and overtime.

Qualifications

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Possess a Valid Driver's License, car insurance, and a reliable vehicle to transport clients.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
First Aid and emergency response training is required (provided if needed).
Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes as scheduled.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with light exercise or walks.
Plan and prepare meals with clients.
Light housekeeping duties.
Report health changes or unusual incidents to supervisors.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Respond quickly in emergencies.
Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
Remind clients to take prescribed medications.
Assist with mobility and transportation to appointments.

Role

As a Visiting Angels CNA Nurse Aide, you'll play a vital role in enriching the quality of life of clients and supporting their wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. This can include:

Assisting clients with light physical exercise or walks
Planning and preparing meals with clients
Handling light housekeeping duties
Reporting health changes or unusual incidents
Providing pleasant, supportive companionship
Responding quickly and responsibly in emergencies
Accompanying and supervise clients during shopping trips
Reminding clients to take prescription medications appropriately
Providing assistance with mobility and ambulation both at home and during appointments/errands

CNA Nurse Aide Job Requirements

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Posses a Valid Drivers License, Car Insurance, and a Reliable Personal Vehicle to use to transport clients

Have excellent time-management skills and can juggle multiple duties at once
Reliable transportation to get to and from client homes at the times you're scheduled to provide care

Feel comfortable performing housekeeping and cooking duties while adhering to applicable dietary constraints
Are willing and able to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards (ex., background check)
