Job summary

Position Summary

Under general direction from Nursing Manager, and/or RN/LVN assists professional nursing personnel in providing resident care in assigned area.

Position Qualifications

• Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility/Sub-Acute unit required.
• Possession of an appropriate, valid California certificate for nursing assistant.
• BLS certification through AHA.

• Understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Learn the terminology of parts and supplies associated with area of assignment.
• Learn quickly the specific operations of a medical treatment unit.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and fellow employees.
