Ochsner Health seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to support nurses in delivering safe patient care and maintaining a clean, compassionate environment. You will observe patients, communicate care needs, and document tasks in collaboration with the nursing team.

Preferred candidates hold a CNA certification and BLS, with CPI training to be completed within 30 days of hire. Flexibility for 24/7 availability is required, and EHR proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in using computers, software,and web-based applications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule (e.g. 24/7, weekend, holiday, on call availability).

Responsabilités

• Supports the plan of care as delegated by staff nurse within scope of skills verification.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment in the patient care area.
• Provides care based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the ages of patients served in assigned areas.
• Communicates patient care needs effectively with patients, families, and other staff members, including multi-disciplinary teams.
• Completes documentation of patient related tasks.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
