Job summary

Brookestone Acres in Columbus, Nebraska is seeking a CNA/MA to provide resident-centered personal care, assist with transfers and mobility, and support nutrition and daily activities. You will document care and maintain safety protocols in a skilled nursing setting.

This role requires completion of a temporary nursing assistant course, strong reading and writing ability, and effective verbal communication with residents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must read and write well enough to follow directions
• Ability to understand safety and chemical handling instructions
• Strong verbal communication with residents, co-workers and visitors

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered personal care including bathroom assistance, washing, dressing, vital signs, and social support
• Assist residents with transferring, repositioning and ambulation using proper techniques
• Deliver positive dining experiences and assist with meals, snacks and supplements
• Document resident care and behaviors
• Handle linens and supplies with proper hygiene and disposal
