Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification required; active on IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; maintain throughout employment.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

• Demonstrates nursing assistant skills and growth/development knowledge for patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to patients under direct supervision of the physician.
• Maintains patient documentation and enters data into the EMR.
• Gathers patient data and vital signs; documents in chart or EMR.
• Schedules patient appointments and referrals; performs filing as needed.
• Communicates patient progress and needs to physician; enters information into EMR.
• May perform duties of a scribe.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Diploma or equivalent required.* Current CNA certification required. Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.* BLS Required within 30 days of hire and must be maintained throughout employment at CGH.* Experience in an acute care setting preferred.* May chart on behalf of the provider when in the exam room. Chart note to include name, title, date and time of the entry.
