Job summary

CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic nursing care under the direct supervision of the office physician. Shift Monday - Friday, Days. This role emphasizes accurate charting, patient data collection, and timely communication with the medical team.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification required.
• Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.
• BLS required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• May chart on behalf of the provider when in the exam room.
• Chart note to include name, title, date and time of the entry.
• Chart must then be signed off on by the provider.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.
• Demonstrates competencies in nursing assistant skills.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development appropriate to patient population.

POSITION PURPOSE

• Gathers patient data and vital signs, and documents in chart or EMR if applicable.
• Schedules patient appointments and referrals and performs filing, as needed, for office.
• Communicates pertinent information regarding patient's progress and needs to the physician; enters such information into the EMR if applicable.
• May perform duties of a scribe.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SPECIALIZED KNOW-HOW & REQUIREMENTS

• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CNA certification required.
• Must be active as a CNA on the IL Health Care Worker Registry.

• Experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Compensation Range

$17.50 - $26.25
