Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support the nursing staff in delivering basic patient care and maintaining a safe, clean environment. Under RN supervision, you will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and documentation, helping to promote quality patient outcomes.

Requirements include a Nevada CNA certification with BLS, high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 2 years of recent CNA experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and six months of clinical experience.
• Valid CNA certification from the Nevada Board of Nursing and BLS.
• Minimum of two years of CNA experience in an acute care setting within the last three years.
• Knowledge of CPR, infection control and safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with routine patient care under RN supervision.
• Provide assistance with daily living activities and environment care.
• Document vital signs, intake/output and patient observations.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of patient environments.
