Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) seeks an Instructor for Certified Nurse Assistant (RN) at the New Orleans Point Job Corps Center. The role delivers academic and career-technical instruction, guides students on academic and trade goals, and maintains documentation using CIS and the center's LMS.

You will develop lessons, monitor progress, advise students on behavior and study habits, and collaborate with staff to ensure quality delivery of services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and certificate in area of instruction.
• Licensed registered nurse (RN) in Louisiana, two years related work experience, and experience instructing or supervising in a professional environment.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide students with career technical training instruction, direction and assistance in designated areas of instruction.
• Demonstrate proficiency in and consistent use of the designated Learning Management System (e.g., Blackboard) to post instructional materials, facilitate assignments and assessments, and monitor student progress.
• Motivate and counsel students in areas of behavior, training, personal problems or study habits; coordinate with other staff as necessary to resolve issues affecting student training.
• Develop and prepare lessons; recommend curricula changes and supplemental materials.
• Utilize workplace language and behavior expectations in the shop and classroom; on a routine basis, inquire if individual students need assistance.
• Review and audit all assigned areas regularly for contractual compliance and effectiveness of delivery of services to students. Prepare related reports.
• Participate in student evaluation panels; prepare required documentation and evaluations using CIS as well as other systems of documentation. Enter case notes into the CIS systems as required and in accordance with established timelines.
