Job summary

Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care in PACE Center and home settings. You will assist with daily living activities, mobility, meal support, and personal care while promoting dignity and safety.

Join a dedicated interdisciplinary team delivering person-centered care, wellness activities, and transportation support. Louisiana CNA certification and CPR are required, with a preference for 1+ year experience

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Current Louisiana CNA certification.
Current CPR certification.
Minimum of one year of experience with older adults or in healthcare.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to transfer and assist participants with mobility.
Ability to work independently and with an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

Assist participants with activities of daily living: feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, hygiene.
Assist with transfers, ambulation, positioning, and mobility using assistive devices.
Provide meal support and dietary adherence.
Observe and report changes in participants’ condition to supervisor.
Provide companionship and engagement to participants.
Support center-based and home-based services as needed.
Maintain a clean, safe center environment and participate in safety drills.
