Job summary

Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, OR, seeks a CNA for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This .9 FTE day-shift role covers 7:00 am–7:30 pm, with 3 twelve-hour shifts weekly and rotating weekends.

You will assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers, measure vital signs, collect specimens, and help with mobility using lifts. Benefits and growth opportunities are provided. Qualifications include Oregon CNA license and BLS at hire; 1 year CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Oregon Nursing Assistant Certification License required at hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
• Preferred: 1 year of CNA experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a high functioning team.
• Assist RN with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Measure and record vital signs, output, and weights.
• Collect specimens and perform fingerstick capillary blood tests.
• Assist with client mobility and transfers, using lifts and safe patient handling devices.
• Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, including annual CNA conference.
• Other duties as assigned.
