Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is seeking a Nurse Apprentice to join our ICU nursing team. This 21-bed unit serves a mixed patient population with high acuity in a Level II Trauma Center.

This part-time, 12-hour night position offers 2 shifts per week from 7pm to 7:30am, with flexibility for a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. You will care under RN supervision and gain hands-on experience in critical care.

Qualifications

• Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification at hire in all units unless ACLS/PALS already certified
• Demonstrates ability to care for all age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable)

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care activities and related non-professional services under the direction and supervision of the RN to support personal needs and comfort of patients.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise is looking to hire a Nurse Apprentice to join our incredible nursing team.

This position is for our ICU located at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise! Our Regional Medical Center is located off I-184 and Curtis Rd.

You will work in the ICU provide care in a 21 bed unit to a mixed patient population needing critical care. This is a fast paced, high-pressure environment that will care for some of the area’s highest acuity patients needing neuro, medical, surgical and trauma care.

Schedule: 2 shifts per week from 7pm-7:30am. Must be flexible to work a varied schedule that consists of weeknights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• You will perform various patient care activities and related non-professional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients under the direction and supervision of the RN.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Maintain a current Nurse Apprentice application on file with the Idaho State Board of Nursing OR complete the Trinity Nursing Assistant Program required
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS as defined in the SAHS Certification Crosswalk.
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups (Neonate, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric as applicable).
