Job summary

Gentiva Hospice is seeking a dependable Hospice Aide (CNA) to deliver compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients in home settings. You will support comfort, dignity, and peace for patients and families at end-of-life, while documenting visits and communicating changes to the care team.

The role requires active CNA licensure in the state, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation, with at least six months of direct patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct personal care to terminally ill patients

• Help with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping
• Observe and report changes in the patient's physical or mental condition
• Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and families

• Practice infection control and follow safety protocols at all times

• Exposure to end-of-life care, wound care, or admissions support
