Compassus is seeking a Hospice Aide to provide comfort care for patients at home, working with the hospice team to address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and to help patients face their final days with dignity. In New Mexico, licensure is not required; you may be a licensed/certified aide or have completed a state-approved nurse aide training program with 24 months of continuous employment.

Current CPR certification is required.

Qualifications

• Nurse aide license or completion of a state-approved nurse aide training program.
• Current CPR certification required.
• If not licensed, NM requires either existing licensure or completion of training plus 24 months continuous employment as a nurse aide.

Responsibilities

• Provide comfort care to patients in their homes as part of the hospice team.
• Address patients' physical, emotional, and spiritual needs with compassion.
• Help patients approach their final days with joy, peace, and dignity.
