Job summary

Bristol Hospice in Columbus, OH is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to support patients and families under RN supervision. You will provide personal care, monitor comfort, and document care plans in accordance with the plan of care.

Ideal candidates hold a valid CNA and HHA certification, CPR, a valid driver's license, and are comfortable working autonomously in home settings with compassionate, respectful communication.

Qualifications

  • Must be a CNA in good standing and have HHA certification.
  • Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised practical training.
  • Licensed driver with insured vehicle in good working order.
  • Willingness to submit to a criminal background check annually.
  • Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including baths, oral hygiene and dressing support.
  • Meet safety needs and use equipment safely (foot stools, side rails, O2).
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as assigned.
  • Take and record vital signs when ordered and report changes to the Case Manager.
  • Maintain patient living area in a clean, orderly condition.
  • Adhere to care procedures and documentation standards and report changes promptly.
