Job summary

Elite Hospice of Round Rock is seeking an Home and Community Based Services Aide to provide compassionate in-home care, supporting personal hygiene and daily living activities for clients who wish to stay in their own homes.

Primary duties include personal care, meal prep, errands, vital checks, and documenting conditions. State-specific requirements apply, including TX Home Health Aide experience or equivalent training, with CPR preferred or achievable within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must have vehicle insurance.
• CPR certification preferred or within 90 days of hire.
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred but not required for all options.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe home environment and operate medical equipment properly; respond promptly to client needs.
• Function in diverse home settings and respect patient rights regardless of background.

As the Home and Community Bases Services Aide, you will provide support, assistance with personal hygiene and household functions for an individual to be able to remain in their own home.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client

State-Specific Requirement

• Category III and IV: TX: Home Health Aide-Must have a minimum of one-(1) year full-time experience in direct client care in hospital or nursing facility, OR one (1) year full- time experience within last five (5) years in direct client care in agency setting, OR documented completion of training and competency evaluation program with home health experience within the last twenty-four (24) months, OR documented completion of competency evaluation program with home health experience within the last twenty-four (24) months, OR nursing student with documentation from director of programs or the dean of a school of nursing that states that the individual is a nursing student who has demonstrated competency in basic nursing skills aligned with the school's curriculum, OR be on Texas Department of Human Services (DHS's) Nurse Aide Registry with no findings of client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property. Must NOT be listed on the Employee Misconduct Registry

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $14.00 to $26.35 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
