Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a certified CNA for the Float Pool to support multiple departments including MedSurg, Behavioral Health, Telemetry, ICU, and Emergency. You will provide basic nursing care under RN supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and help maintain a safe, caring environment for non-critical patients.

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire.
Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or Skilled Nursing to float to the Subacute unit, required.

Responsibilities

Assist with activities of daily living and provide basic nursing care to non-critical patients.
Maintain a safe environment under RN supervision and across floated units.
Float to MedSurg, Behavioral Health, Telemetry, ICU, and Emergency Department as needed.
