Job summary

Palomar Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join the Nursing Administration team on a 12-hour day shift. You will provide and document patient care under the supervision of the RN, and may float to various Palomar Health facilities to support staffing needs.

Requirements include CNA certification with BLS CPR within 6 months, English proficiency, and basic computer skills (MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, Internet, Email). Palomar Health is an equal opportunity employer.

• 0-6 months related experience; 1 year preferred.

Job Description: Pay range: $23.00 - $28.92 Posting Date: 8/25/2026 Internal Closing Date: 8/31/26 * Internal candidates must apply by midnight on the Closing Date in order to have bidding rights.

Provides and documents care to patients under the direction of the RN, to include safe, comfortable and confidential environment. Participates as a team member to insure appropriate resources to all internal/external customers. Required to float to various departments and Palomar Health facilities.

Speak and read English at a level that is sufficient to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the position. Knowledge of standard office equipment (i.e., calculator, fax, photocopier) and personal computer and computer software skills (i.e., MS Windows, Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint, internet, e-mail). Windows computer skills including proficient use of keyboarding, use of mouse or keys for functions such as selecting items, use of drop down menus, scroll bars, opening folders, copying and similar operations required upon employment or within the 1st two weeks of employment to perform the essential functions of the job.

Performs other duties as assigned. Follows Palomar Health rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws and standards. Carries out the mission, vision, and quality commitment of Palomar Health.
