Job summary

Addus HomeCare in Virginia is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support our aging population. The role involves following care plans, aiding with personal care, meal prep, and transportation, with daily pay available for select shifts.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a CNA/Home Health Aide certification or be in training, and be able to pass a background check. This position emphasizes compassionate care, confidentiality, and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be certified as a Home Health Aide or Personal Care Aide (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pre-employment physical exam/PPD before patient contact.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with proof of insurance.
• Nurturing and compassionate nature with ability to work with limited supervision.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care: bathing, dressing, etc.
• Prepare meals, clean, and do laundry as needed.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Be flexible to meet department needs.
• Adhere to regulations and company policies.
