Qualifications

• completion of a nursing fundamentals class and are currently enrolled in nursing school, or a graduate from a nursing program, or
• Certified Nursing Assistant: CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR
• Must be able to take call, float to other areas, and work on weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, and contribute to the patient's plan of care under RN direction.
• Respect patient privacy and interpreter services as needed, documenting appropriately.
• Perform age-appropriate data collection, pain assessment, and clinical monitoring; report abnormalities to RN.
• Plan and implement tasks, maintain infection control, document daily weights and intake/output.
• Educate patients and families on room orientation, visitation policies, and daily routines; report language needs.
